Star Wars (A New Hope) was released in theaters for the first time.

It went on to become the highest-grossing film of all time (up to that point). Adjusted for inflation, it comes in at number 3 in the list of highest-grossing films ever made right behind Avatar (2009) and Gone With The Wind (1939). If you were to include toy/merchandise sales into the mix, it would take the top spot by a very wide margin. It isn’t all just about making money. It currently averages an 8.8/10 on IMDB which places it at #17 all time as voted by users.

Voice Cast Announced for Batman: The Dark Knight Returns

Peter Weller (Robocop) will star as Batman/Bruce Wayne and Modern Family’s middle child Ariel Winter will play Robin.

Also in the cast are David Selby, the veteran actor who starred in the original Dark Shadows soap opera as well as the classic 1980s soap Falcon Crest; Wade Williams (Prison Break) as Harvey Dent/Two-Face; and Michael McKean as Dr. Wolper, the psychiatrist who releases the Joker from the insane asylum.

Batman: The Dark Knight Returns is being directed by Jay Oliva, who storyboarded Zack Snyder’s upcoming Superman movie Man of Steel, from a script by Bob Goodman.

Just finished watching X-Files: I Want to Believe and enjoyed watching it. It wasn’t a big movie when it first shown on theaters in 2008. I did enjoy it then, but I thought it would have been a bigger/better X-files movie.

But now after just watching it, it made me realize that it was a better movie, if you will be looking at the point of view of Scully and Mulder’s relationship. That “simple” case ( I would call it simple because it wasn’t about aliens or Mulder’s lost sister) put both of our ex FBI agents’ faith… love… respect whatever you call their relationship.. to the test. And it was a realistic way how they showed this conflict.

Faith was also a big thing in the movie. The FBI case and also her patient in the story put Scully’s faith in a tightrope… a question… a big why to the big Guy.

Try watching it again. It’s a good movie, especially if you are a fan of the greatest 90’s TV show of all time. :-)
